Though this recipe is child friendly.  Adult help will be required.  Always stay close while children are in the kitchen.   


6 oz (about 3 cups) rotini or bow tie pasta
1 1/2 cups frozen peas (baby peas work best)
1 cup Alfredo sauce (from a jar)
1/2 cup bacon, torn into small pieces


In a large saucepan filled half full with water, heat over high heat until boiling.  Carefully, add the pasta.  Bring to a boil again and cook for 6 minutes.  Make sure to stir on occasion to prevent sticking.  Add peas to boiling water and continue cooking for another 6 minutes.  Again, stir on occasion.

Strain pasta and peas through a colander in the sink.    Put the pasta and peas back into the same saucepan.

Add the Alfredo sauce and bacon pieces.  Stir together.  Heat over low heat until heated through.   Make sure to stir often.
